About the Author

Andrea Messina began her culinary apprenticeship at her grandmother’s knee, learning authentic Italian cooking in a home kitchen filled with love and memories. During the last days of her beloved grandmother’s life, Andrea spent hours talking to her grandmother and preserving the old family recipes on handwritten pages. These recipes had been passed down through many generations of women, but have never before been shared outside the family. This cookbook brings her family heritage to life, along with the recipes that filled  the dinner table in Andrea’s childhood, and now in her own home.

 

She is the owner and founder of Joe and Son’s Olive Oils (joeandsonsoliveoils.com), an olive oil tasting room in Tampa, Florida that offers the freshest and highest quality extra virgin olive oils and aged balsamic vinegars brought in from all over the world.
